Locals Can Now Create Their Own Website

Beginning in September, 2004, OEA is offering a new web-hosting benefit to OEA local affiliates and organizations, including Regional Coordinating Councils and OEA District Associations.  Each member organization will be provided a place to host their own web site.

Participating organizations must have the capacity to maintain a web site.  This includes a technically proficient volunteer with a high-speed internet connection, a Windows based PC, and the ability and time to manage a web site.  Participating affiliates and organizations will be required to enter into a legal agreement for this service.  Initially, this benefit will be available to only 100 OEA member organizations that meet the criteria for participation. An attempt will be made to include organizations that vary by size, location, type, and technical skill.  Training on uploading content, managing the relationship with the hosting provider, and other important topics will be provided to participants in this program.

In order to begin the process, you must fill out a short online application. The local president and the organization's technical contact will receive notification when training is available in your region.
